Comfortable

Stayed for 1 night, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. There were a lot of families staying the night I did, not a problem at all except there was a lot of running in the halls and yelling later in the evening.
The morning of my check out, very early, I had 5 calls to the phone in my room, I answered the first one and the other line hung up and continued to call back a few more times I had to take the phone off the hook.
Staff was really nice, I was not recognized as an IHG rewards member

Beautiful accomodations but..

Congratulations on your remodel, wish I was advised prior.
This hotel and room were great. We have stayed in the past with our pet
This visit was q quick turnaround for a funeral. Travelling from So Calif.
It was disappointing to find I had a room on the 3rd flr with no elevator service. We were told it would be fixed that night which was not true.
Nothing like driving for hours then carrying our luggage up 3 flights of stairs with the cost we spent.
In the morning we were welcomed by demolition crew outside our door for tile work.
Discomfort level was achieved.

Our hotel is also 2 miles away from Princeton Medical Center and 11 miles to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton and Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Just OK

I've stayed at different IHG hotels and this one was an OK experience compared to all. The front desk welcome was cold but I could care less. Room and bath were clean and decent. We were surprised to find no USB ports in the room. So if you plan on staying in this hotel please remember to bring your plug in addition to the charging cable. The windows didn't have darkening curtains, or more precisely the darkening curtains were just decorative on both ends covering about 10% of the windows, rest being sheer. The fan of the room AC was extremely loud, and won't adjust when we tried to adjust it to low. After trying to turn it on and off with the hope of it getting to the low mode without luck, we decided to just turn the AC completely off. This was mid February and the outdoor temperature was about 25F. Fortunately we were able to get some heat from the rest of the building.
Overall this hotel has great location if you are visiting Princeton University. It is clean and the rooms have decent size, but it needs an update on wall plugs, windows and ACs.

Odors and loud guests

Room had dog odor and dander. We have allergies. 11:30 pm -3:30 am, guests in room above us jumping,running. Sounded like construction.
Need a good night’s sleep to travel on the highways.
I suggest you keep a few rooms without pets and put guests with kids on the first floor when possible.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Charlotte Airport. With such a great location 5 minutes from the airport, our hotel is perfect for Business, Groups and Leisure travelers visiting Charlotte, NC. We're near businesses like Duke Energy, Restaurant Depot, Amazon, and American Airlines Training Center. It's easy to work from the hotel with complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel, 24-hour Business Center and 1600 sf of meeting space. Unfortunate Customer Service

I was so disappointed with the Customer Service in this hotel. Being a Gold Elite member you would think you would get a level of service that doesn't make you question the brand of hotel you choice when you get off the phone.
My daughter's flight was delayed overnight in Charlotte so we booked her a room via the call center. The person at the call center was FANTASTIC! The process was explained in detail, she gave us the direct number to the hotel so I could contact the hotel and fill out the authorization form for my credit card to be used for my daughter. The form was sent to me, I filled it out, emailed it back and received an email confirming the hotel received my email.
My daughter arrived at the hotel around 10 pm after delays and cancelled flights. The manager on duty that evening decided that my daughter was not able to check-in without confirming a credit card that I already authorized for us. PLUS her name was on the reservation! Her actual name was on the reservation, she had a valid ID and the authorization was on file! This is why all this was handled so my daughter DID NOT have to handle anything other than checking in and getting a good night sleep. So I get a call sometime after 10 pm to confirm what was ON FILE. Furthermore, the manager on duty that evening was the rudest person I have ever spoken with and decided to tell me that he has right to refuse letting her stay in his hotel! Can you imagine being told that your daughter, who has traveled all day, dealt with delays and cancellation, and the chain of hotels you are a Gold Elite member with and get told that your daughter can be refused service because her mother questioned why she was getting a call after taking care of everything prior to her checking in and being assured that everything was handled.
I was very disappointed for the treatment from so called customer service.

The remote control for the tv was dirty and sticky; I went to the front desk and the girl said " house keeping
doesn't look at those" I said with all the flue that is going around they don't clean it? I asked for some sanitary wipes and she said she didn't have any. She tried to clean it with a napkin and water which did nothing. Also, was awaken twice by other loud guests on the first floow.

Overpriced Stay with Discrepancies in Online Pricing

I have stayed at many IHG hotels, but this one was significantly more expensive than expected. When searching online for hotels on my way to Portland, I found a lower rate listed on the website. However, upon arrival, the front desk associate—who was very kind—stated that the hotel had never offered rates that low and wasn’t sure why it was displayed that way. She even verified that I had the correct hotel address.
Additionally, the location was quite noisy due to the freeway being right next to our room. The amenities were minimal for the price, and the breakfast was underwhelming. I don’t usually leave reviews, but given the high cost compared to the experience, I felt it was worth sharing.

Worst stay I have ever experienced

I live locally and use this opportunity as a mental health check because I am a special needs parent and needed help decompressing. So my husband stayed home with my son and I went to have a quiet evening of sitting in the hot tub and enjoying myself. Upon checking in I was told the pool and hot tub were both down because of some dirty guests that used it without taking showers first. I ended up going up to my room taking a shower and going to bed early, but was woken up at 3:20 in the morning to the big 50 lb mirror falling off the wall and shattering. It exploded glass all over my bed and the floor and when I called the front desk they didn't move me rooms they just said they would let maintenance know the next morning. I feel like I should have had my room switch so that I wasn't stepping around glass and I ended up leaving the hotel at 4:00 a.m. I returned at 7:45 in the morning to try to have some hot breakfast all to find out that breakfast was watery eggs and turkey sausage and pork sausage, two yogurt's in the fridge and some white milk. No chocolate milk, no gravy, no biscuits, no bacon, no oatmeal, nothing. there was however some frozen muffins that looked squished that I did grab a couple to try and they were not good. The apple just was also watered down. I think the breakfast being horrible was the cherry on top for me and I decided to complain because this was the most horrible experience I've ever had. I am loyal to the brand and have stayed with them over a dozen times in the past 12 months and this was my first bad experience where I've actually had to complain and the staff did nothing. I'm having to have Priceline continually reach out to staff and management to have this resolved and nothing's been resolved. This was my mental health check I desperately needed a break and this was so far from what I deserved. The services rendered were not what was expected especially when I booked specifically this location for use of the hot tub and the pool and the hot breakfast. I also asked what was part of the hot breakfast when I checked in and obviously there was some short fallings there as well. I'm waiting on a response from the hotel along with Priceline before I dispute the charges on my credit card. I truly truly hope Holiday inn IHG understands that when people choose their brand for consistency and quality especially for a mental health break, that they strive to provide what they've advertised.
