Poor customer service

I was disappointed with the customer service. When I arrived at the front desk, no one was there to assist me for about five minutes. The staff at the front desk was also not very friendly. Later, I went down to buy a bottle of water, but once again, no one was at the front desk. I ended up putting the water back and returning to my room.

Terrible stay there was no hot water and staff didn't try to be helpful. All the staff said was sorry a lot of people are complaining about the lack of hot water instead of trying to resolve the issue. Would not recommend

Bad water system

The hot water heater wasn't working when I visited. I complained and they were to rectify it but nothing was done. I was told at the front desk that the manager will call or get in touch with me to explain what happened. Nobody got in touch with me even after I checked out. I could not have a good bath since the hot water system was not working.

Rude Staff

On 2-23-25 I went back to my hotel room and went to sleep as I am a night shift Nurse and had booked my room for that day and night. Around 12:00 there was a sudden banging on my room door and before I could get out of bed someone was trying to get into my room and yelling. They were able to open the door but I had placed the interior door locks in place for my own safety. I went up to the door and opened it after I heard a woman’s voice. It was the lady I had seen downstairs working at the desk. She asked me when I would be checking out and it’s after my checkout time. I told her that my reservation was for that night as well. She claimed that it was not and tried arguing with me about it. I informed her that I have been staying there off and on since November of 2024 and have never had any issues like this. She told me that I need to come downstairs and figure it out at the front desk. I had to walk down to the front desk in my pajamas where she was looking at my reservation and said that I didn’t have a reservation for that night and wanted to know if I would like to book another night. At that point I was so overwhelmed and frustrated because I had to work again that night and now with minimal sleep I couldn’t just leave and go home 1 1/2 hours away only to drive back so I did request to stay another night. I also told her that the night should’ve already been booked but she told me that it wasn’t and I can contact the manager. I told her I’ve already lost sleep over all of this. She pretended to apologize but still claimed that it wasn’t reserved and she couldn’t help that. The fact of this matter is that she could’ve just called up to the room and asked if I wanted to stay and I could’ve informed her that there must have been an accident in the booking. It was completely inappropriate to start beating on someone’s door and yelling just because they haven’t checked out yet when they didn’t know their room had been booked correctly. Even if I did plan on checking out that day I could’ve stayed until 2 pm which is allowed if you are a Silver elite member… which I am. I literally thought someone was trying to break into my room to harm me. I wish I had left the hotel completely. I personally don’t feel comfortable staying there after this incident. I’ve never had an issue and have greatly enjoyed staying here until this had happened.

Horrible experience

This place was an absolute nightmare. The staff were difficult, rooms were dirty, the hot water didn’t work, bathroom fan was broke, faucet was broke and ran water all night. We weren’t allowed to sit in the lobby! And as my son and I were laying in bed a staff member banged on our door yelling at us to be quiet because there was a noise complaint. We had an early game the next day. Breakfast was inedible. Pancake maker was broke. Bread was stale.
We were also told we couldn’t use our reward point for our stay. Worst experience we have ever had at a hotel.

I wish I could post the pictures I took of this room! The bathroom, talk about black mold in the shower. The chair for the desk which we all use, had the pleather in large holes.. the bed, litterly had a hole where you slept, on both sides of the bed! Don’t stay here!!

Elevator broken for the whole stay. 2 days room never cleaned. Stayed there in june 2024 elavator didnt work that time either. Wont stay here again.

Hotel in Wauwatosa near the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center
Holiday Inn Express Milwaukee West Medical Center is located just 2.5 miles from Froedtert Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
We are close to Fastenal, GE, Johnson Controls , and many Milwaukee attractions such as American Family Field and Petit National Ice Center . Our free shuttle operates in a generous 5 mile radius so leave the stress of driving to us! We are located just 25 minutes Mitchell International Airport (MKE) .
Our accommodations provide our guests all the conveniences of home. Complimentary WiFi, parking and hot breakfast are just a few of the little things we do to make your stay more comfortable. Each room offers a microwave, mini refrigerator, Keurig, 43” adjustable mount TV, spacious work desk with multiple power outlets and in-room safe.

Disappointed in cleanliness and facility

We have stayed at this location several times to visit family. I was very disappointed in this visit especially.
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night.
The hallways were dirty and had linen piled on the floor.
The shower faucet did not work in my room to get enough hot water and when I asked to be moved, I was told maintenance would have to check out what I just told them....
Finally, I was given another room where the toilet didn't work correctly.
I was never thanked for my loyalty to IHG.

Bathroom was very nasty. Hair everywhere on ceiling and shower curtain. Crumbs all over on the ground. A/C was rattling and annoying. Worst part was during the day someone came into my room even though I had the do not disturb on my door with zero explanation of what they were doing or trying to do.

Friendly Staff, Rooms Uncomfortable

The staff were very friendly. The gym was nice and clean. The dessert was nice and okay but nothing special to spend nearly $10 on. My room is where everything turned around.
My room's bathroom was unclean with hair still on the shower walls and in the tub, water was slowly draining from the tub, the shower water was lukewarm, and the pressure and amount of water from the shower head were depressing. This made for an unsatisfying shower experience. The bathroom had visible marks from water splashes. The thermostat seemed to not function properly as the temperature of the room was still cold after turning it up by several degrees and on heat. The overall issues with the room caused me to question the cleanliness of the rest of the room, making it unsettling and uncomfortable to sleep in the bed. Because I only stayed one night, I didn't fuss unless I was asked how my experience/room was but I wasn't. I couldn't wait to leave the room the following morning.
