Was such a relief to stay at this hotel staff was all very helpful them was amazing even got upgraded when I didn’t even expect to be would be happy to stay there again any time . Don’t forget the restaurant quality! Also a great view of Lake Ontario

Great hotel, in SW DFW metroplex

Needed hotel and attempted to use IHG points unfortunately there was a national cheerleading event so all hotels were crazy expensive. I had enough t points for 2 nights but for whatever reason the system would not allow and I was in town for a funeral. Disappointed the app wouldn’t allow me to use my points for 2 nights and I ended up having to pay .. def beware of the points because it isn’t always a deal and feel no one offered me any thing for my troubles at the hotel when I had to re check in .. smh

Beautiful hotel

Loved staying here with my husband and dog. They are very accommodating for pets and an inexpensive price. Beautiful location and many things to do in the area. The beach is about 15 minutes away so very convenient.

Nice modern hotel

We had a great stay in Saranac lake. When we checked in we received complementary truffles that were fantastic. The room was clean, modern and comfortable with lots of room on the counter in the bathroom. The hotel supplied shower and sink toiletries.
We really loved that they are pet friendly and my kids loved the indoor pool overlooking the lake and ice palace. I enjoyed the hot tub and the big fluffy towels provided.
Overall, a great experience.

Outdated hotel but clean

I was heading to Crystal River to see the manatees and stopped here overnight. The location was 15-20 minutes so perfect. The hotel for the money was not. It is very outdated and had an actual humidifier in the room, which had me concerned with why. The person at the front desk claimed it was due to the Florida humidity. I've stayed in many hotels all over Florida and have never encountered a giant humidifier in the room. So It had me a little concerned about possible mold. The room was clean and thats the most important thing to me. But I had just stayed at a Holiday inn Express at Sea World Orlando that was much nicer and right next to the park for less money. This was $160 for a Tuesday night! The person at the front desk was knowledgeable and no issues at check in.

Not staying here again

I have stayed at HI too many times to count and I keep thinking the mattresses will be better this time. They are not, they are the same all over the USA, too bouncy, too soft and very uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep a wink and kept on tossing an turning all night and my partner did too. The "firm" pillows are a joke, they are too flat and no firmness in them. The bathroom doesn't have enough light for make up and the room didn't have any mirror to put makeup on. Bedside table had only one outlet to charge phone and nothing to charge airpods except for the usb charging port which I didn't want to use. I won't recommend it if you are a light sleeper since the 5th floor window brought it traffic noise and bed was terrible and it made creaking sound too every time we turned. Horrible stay!!

Wouldn’t go out of my way to stay at this property again

We arrived earlier than normal for check-in time and our room wasn’t ready yet. Which was ok, because we decided to grab breakfast first. Usually if a room isn’t ready front desk staff will immediately offer to hold your bags for you until it is. I had to ask if they would hold them and they said they would. I was on a business/leisure trip so I had a lot of stuff with me, and when I finally went to my room no one offered to help bring my bags up or help in anyway when my hands were obviously full. When entering the room it was clean and everything was stocked. The next morning when I returned to my room in the afternoon and only thing done by the maid service was replacing the towels. Nothing was straightened, bed wasn’t made and the coffee cups used the previously day were not replaced. It seemed like they spent all of 5 minutes in the room. Breakfast was chaotic as there was only one lady working/helping during it. I honestly felt bad for her because she was working hard getting things restocked but there is only so much one person can do. For the amount of people eating there, they definitely need more people to help out as the trash was over flowing and things were running low/out. They do at least have a good variety to choose from for breakfast. Check out was easy as I have them my room number and they handed my receipt. I do wish they would have asked how my stay was so I could have voiced my concerns but instead they didn’t say anything. Like I mentioned in the title, I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again which is a shame because I usually enjoy these properties.

BAD SERVICE

I have a reservation for a Chase reward night at this hotel. The Front Desk Clerk refuse to check me in with my ID given to him. If you have reward night, don't bother to go there. If you want a good night sleep. Forget it, the fan by the heater goes on all night. No button to turn off. No coffee pot in the room. Hot water in the lobby is limited at night time. Water in the room looks like milky color. All staff has no name tag. This hotel claimed it is a new hotel but to me no big deal. No service. There are many hotel around Schaumburg area. This is the worst service hotel I have been to.
