Quincy stop off

The property was what is expected from a Holiday Inn IHG property. My only issue is that IMHO it is too expensive for the area and location. I really should have used a competitor that would have been much more economical but the IHG ap and ease of booking while traveling for a stop over night. I guess it was worth not having to comparative shop, but would like a more competitive price as well as the easy. I am hoping this is an anomaly and I don't have to start to shop around.

Pick another hotel

The breakfast they charge you for is served late so most people don’t get a chance to eat. We paid for it. I’ve never stayed at an IHG that serves breakfast this late. There’s not a single ice machine in the building so if you have an event that day outside you have to stop and buy ice. Don’t ask the rude douche at the front desk. He won’t give you any.

Not So Much This Time

I've stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times. It's always been 'fine,' as Holiday Inn Express' go. I use hotel gyms and this one is okay, but the same issues remain as the last time I stayed there. The water is empty...always. There are no wipes to clean equipment and there are several missing dumbbells. Holiday Inn Express gyms are all essentially set up the same way; I stay in them all the time. Dumbbells come in sets and there are several missing. Not the end of the world, but annoying. The lack of water and cleaning wipes is more irritating.

As for my stay this time, I'm not too happy. I think there are people who live at this hotel now. People are up all night long on their phones, on speaker, walking up and down the halls, doors slamming - and televisions on ridiculously loud. This has never happened before at this place. I will give it a try again next time, but if the problems persist, I'll go to another Holiday Inn Express. I hope there aren't people living at this hotel on the tax payer dime; sad for Pennsylvania if that's the case. When you travel for work, you need sleep to work and when you don't sleep, you get grumpy.

I will say the staff are very nice. The front desk folks are responsive, friendly and helpful. I like them.

Hot water was lukewarm

A friendly, contemporary Harlow hotel near Stansted Airport and trains to Central London Set in the thriving town of Harlow on the border of Essex and Hertfordshire, Holiday Inn Express® Harlow hotel is 15 miles from Stansted Airport , with easy access to the M11 motorway. Good rooms, everything else marginal?

As a regular business traveler, haven't stayed hear for a while. The rooms are Ok, many HI Express rooms are, more contemporary that the Holiday Inns.

Two downsides the small car park is closed hence you have to use the local multi storey, its close but well past its sell by.

The guests on check-in many seemed to be local people and families rather than full paying guests, I didn't quiz but a strange cross section.

Hotel is a bit worn out

The shower would not get hot, the carpet was coming up, there was no full length mirror or mirror at all in the actual room. It was very haphazard and thrown together. Not a nice relaxing room.

Overpriced!

Three-night stay - excessive pricing for the 2nd and 3rd night for the dated accommodations offered. I would have expected this type of exorbitant pricing in a major metropolitan area, not rural NC. Will look elsewhere next time.
