Louisiana Hotel Close to Shreveport Municipal Airport
Louisiana's third largest city, Shreveport, sits near the borders of Texas and Arkansas. With the Shreveport Municipal Airport (SHV) located a mile from our door, you will find that getting to and from our Shreveport hotel is easy. The elevator was out of order I was given a room on the 4Th floor when i climb to the room after dinner my key didn't work and I try to call the front desk with my cell phone and nobody answer the phone so my wife had to walk down to the front desk to reactivate the key

Fantastic Staff. Horrible Resort Fee Practice.

I booked a reward night stay (2/7-2/11) at this Holiday Inn Express in Chelsea using all IHG points (and 4th night free perk).
The hotel staff were fantastic.
The only major issue with the hotel itself is that I would recommend light sleepers try to ask for a room away from the elevators. I could hear the elevators all day and night long. So if you are a light sleep, I recommend asking for a room away from the elevator as soon as you book.
I, however, am not recommending this Property because of its horrible resort fee practice. While I understood there was a resort fee for cash bookings, at no point during my rewards night stay was I informed this resort also applied.
The e-mail confirming my stay did not mention the fee. No one of front desk mentioned the resort fee (both checking in or checking out). Nor did Holiday Inn Express say this charge was a resort fee in my IHG credit card statement.
I only found out that this charge was a resort fee after calling a Holiday Inn Express representative for about 48 minutes (today 03/06/2025).
If any IHG property is going to charge a resort fee, this needs to be mentioned in all reservation confirmation e-mails, both at check-in & check-out, and on all credit card charges.
I may be alone in saying this statement, but this resort fee is nothing short of a double fee by IHG. This property is not located near a beach. Nor does this property have a pool. Thank you for your time.

Gave my room away

I have been staying here for several years. I had a reservation and showed up later in the evening with my family. We had a long day. When we got to the hotel, they were all booked up. Other words they gave my room to someone else. They tried to give us another room. When we got to that room it was still dirty. So needless to say. We had to go to another hotel that night. Basically, costed me more money.

Our all-suite hotel is your home away from home. We offer spacious accommodations with a separate seating area including a sofa sleeper in all rooms so you can relax whether traveling for work, pleasure or medical treatment. Guests can enjoy our complimentary Hot Breakfast Buffet, free High-Speed Internet, On-Site Business Center, and complimentary shuttle service to Mayo Clinic and St Mary's Hospital. In addition, our fitness center, heated indoor pool and whirlpool are a great way to relax after a long day.
Stay in comfortable suites with premium bedding, a microwave and refrigerator, a work desk and a 50" TV. All rooms also have a coffee maker and USB ports. We’re located mere minutes from the Mayo Clinic and St. Mary’s Hospital, so you won’t need to commute far. Step across the street to The Shoppes at Maine for dining and shopping or head into downtown Rochester for some local dining and shopping.

Nice staff, hotel could use improvements

Staff I interacted with were nice. I had a few things I wasn't impressed with however:
1. There were ants in the bathroom
2. The pool and hot tub need to be drained and fixed up the hot tub is all chipped up and looks gross
3. The toilet seat in our bathroom was all chipped up and looked gross.

Breakfast, Lost Fan

The hotel/bar was nice, clean, friendly staff and bartender! We had the breakfast with our stay which you ordered ahead and picked up, but I don't think it's a good system. There were SO many styrofoam containers used, way to much waste, and the hot food was cold by the time we got back to our room.
Also, we stayed here two weeks prior and left our little 12" floor fan. I called and they had found it and said they would set it aside for when we were back for this stay. Once we got there last weekend they no longer had the fan :(
