Ok but not special

The standard rooms are nice size and pleasant decor but the style is a little cold. The staff are at the same standard as most other 5 star hotels (which is adequate but underwhelming), with the exception of the rooftop bar staff who were actually warm, friendly and helpful. The pool area is beautiful but the pool itself is tiny (smaller than the average backyard pool) so the area can be a little crowded. The suites are where you want to stay if the cost of upgrade isn't excessive as they are quite luxurious in size

Arriving at The intercontinental,Double Bay you are instantly greeted by the friendly doormen. The staff at reception are welcoming and friendly and check in is easy...exactly what you want!
Entering the room was like a breath of fresh air after a long day...great decor, inviting and above all quiet. No noise from the neighbors or hallway. Great amenities including your own Nespresso coffee machine. The beds are so comfortable an I have always had an uninterrupted sleep and woken refreshed.
If it's work or pleasure The intercontinental Double Bay is an experience to enjoy and remember.
