Great hotel with wonderful location.

I enjoy walking. Unfortunately most of Amman is not "walking friendly". However, staying at the Intercontinental allowed me to walk from the hotel to Rainbow Street and to the old central souk area. This gave me a chance to explore the city on-foot and not only through a taxi window. I recommend other walkers to consider this option when visiting Amman.

Recent policy changes brings value down significantly for IHG members.

I always liked this property,however, with recent changes of rules on value adds makes it unattractive with no recognition or value for IHG members. Even with Platinum level membership one cannot access Club lounge, which is surprising. This is a departure from how others operate and recognise their loyal customers.

Very short 8 hour stay before a late flight out of Dubai

I only spent 8 hours in the afternoon here but was happy overall. I checked out shortly before midnight so didn't have the chance to check out the morning breakfast. The room was fine although the light switches were initially confusing (wired in serial so all the switches had to be "On" before the entrance way, couch and desktop lights would work).

Great hotel with poorly trained staff

The from desk needs some training and brushing up in customer service. I experienced it twice. The staff at the front desk and concierge seems to knot be lost and 2 star hotel service at the best.

Great property with very poorly trained staff.

Club lounge was fantastic but you had to ask even for a beer. Not a place to relax. It seems like portion control or rationing.

Good location but Dubai style customer service.

Great value for money

Fantastic value given the location. Internet service and breakfast was great. However not able to catch a good night's rest due to noise from the next room. Not sure if it is a connecting room issue or if all rooms does not sound proof so well.

Great for Business.

This is my preferred hotel when doing business to Bahrain. The staff are very friendly and everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Whilst it's not as new and 'bling' as some of the hotels in Bahrain, it's got a nice feeling to it and is very close to the government buildings. The pool and gym facilities are the best aspect of the hotel however. Highly recommended!
