This hotel truly made me feel at home. Most of the staff are friendly middle-aged and elderly uncles and aunties — always kind, warm, and attentive. In the evening, they even offer free porridge, which feels just like a comforting late-night meal prepared by parents. Every day here felt peaceful and cozy. I’d definitely choose this place again next time!

I had an 8 hour stopover at Pudong airport, so I decided to book this hotel so that I could catch some sleep and rest. My flight arrived in 2:15 AM. The Pudong Airport is definitely not somewhere that you can catch some sleep at. I am glad that I made decision to book this hotel or it would have been an absolute nightmare spending 8 hours in the airport. The hotel is not accessible by walk, but I was lucky to catch the last shuttle departing at 3:20 AM at the morning. I reached the hotel around 3:45 AM, and the staff was available at the reception, and spoke good English. In fact, there level of communication in English was better than staff at 5 star hotels in some other cities in China where I stayed during my trip. The room was clean, and I had no problem with catching some sleep after taking a shower. The noise level did not bother me, although I saw some reviews where previous guests have expressed concern about this matter. The breakfast was nice too.

I will never stay in this hotel again. Air conditioning was broken down, there is no contingency plan or any risk management. The room is at 29 degree! No action from the personnel to comfort customers, not even a fan or refreshment. All they did is open the window which make it noisy to sleep at night. Buffet was bad also for both morning and night. The food were all dried out and especially the seafood is not fresh at all.
