Located in the centre of the Hangzhou’s business district, Qianjiang New Town, InterContinental Hangzhou is uniquely designed with a golden globe architecture, which makes it the city’s landmark. InterContinental Hangzhou is also adjacent to a station on Metro Line 4&7, providing easy access to West Lake, train stations, airport and shopping districts. We boast magnificent views of the Qiantang River, Light Show and Musical Fountain. We have 384 guest rooms and 6 restaurants plus swimming pool.

Amazing hotel but shame shame couldn't experience the whole experience

The hotel really does have the wow factor, imposing on the waterfront and looks impressive during the day as it does at night. The inside of the hotel is also amazing!
Sadly the pool was being maintained during our stay so we didn't get to experience this, there was an alternative pool available at the Holiday Inn a short distance away however the hours of availability were really restricted and therefore we didn't get the chance to use this.
As impressive as the hotel is, it is clear that it is showing it's age, the view from our room was great but then spoilt by the lack of maintenance as the floor covering outside was peeling. Likewise the windows were of different shades which spoilt the view a little. In the bathroom, the door was not on its runners and therefore could not be closed. I've attached a picture of the view from our room.
In terms of service, we ordered food to our room on the first day and as always, left the tray outside of our room to be collected however this was still there 2 days later, there were also other used plates etc outside of other doors which I find really odd, especially in such an establishment.
We were given two welcome drinks when we arrived however these were pointless as the bar said that we could not have any drinks for these vouchers. It was probably as we went to the bar at 11:30pm but they were very disappointed to see us as they wanted to close the bar. Why the bar closes so early is beyond me.
Overall the hotel is amazing but the lack of maintenance and shortfalls in service let it down somewhat. That being said I would recommend staying to experience the grandeur of the property.

The reception was handled by a refined and professional lady who completed the check-in process with efficient and thorough service. The housekeeping staff left a heartfelt handwritten card to warmly welcome my arrival. The breakfast buffet, as always, offered a rich and diverse selection that delighted the senses. The executive lounge continued to impress with its captivating cityscape view, particularly during sunset when golden rays bathed the entire 27th floor. As night fell, the newly arrived live band elevated the bar's vibrant atmosphere to its nightly crescendo, creating an unforgettable evening experience.

謝謝前台Kyle幫升級江景房，安排了相鄰房間方便我們幾個好友出行。
房間非常舒適，睡了很好的一覺。可惜房間地毯較多明顯污漬，玻璃窗也較髒（拍照明顯）。

Marvellous View and Very Helpful and Friendly Staffs

First thing that impressed me is the ellegant view from the hotel to the Hanjiang River, either from the rooms or restaurant.
The River View is further enhanced with the first class facility and set up of the hotel, making our stay a memorable one.
I must give my utmost compliment to one of your front desk staff, named Jennie, who has extended great personal care to my request. I knew some of the request is not possible, but I was impressed that, instead of a "NO" answer, she is flexible to find means to address the entitlement of our IHG member status.

Every aspect was amazing for this hotel, if I was to be very fussy only had 2 problems. 1 the best was too spongy and the room lighting was too dark. But these are only personal preference.
