Good location but hotel needs updating. Road noise was loud even on fourth floor . Limited hot water in tub. Breakfast was just ok, standard choices. Limited parking. Air conditioning was also loud.

Hotel is run down. Horrible rooms. Bad smell. No room cleaning in three days. Garbage left outside room. No utensiles for breakfast and on and on… Avoid.

Disappointed.

Trisha/Trish at the front desk was not pleasant at all. She made check in very difficult & there was a lot of passive aggressiveness. After getting to our room we went back down to the front desk & asked for a room change due to the blinds not shutting. She seemed even more annoyed with having to change us rooms. The room we stayed in had rust in the shower, stains on the blankets & the walls were filthy as well. We were up until midnight due to the person above us. For as many times as I’ve stayed at this hotel I’ve never experienced this. I would highly reconsider your staff & the lack of customer service. Absolute waste of our IHG points. Do better.

Wifi

I stayed on Friday April 11th. I have stayed a couple of times at this location, I have been coming in town to see my elderly mother in the hospital. I desperately needed to do some work that required WiFi after being at the hospital all day. However the WiFi wasn’t working in my room 502, after calling the front desk I went to lobby to check my computer. Sure enough I connected without issue. I spoke to the young gentleman and asked if there was something that could be done, He told me no one else had complained about the internet not working, after asking if he could get me to another room with WiFi he said no, I explained the urgency of my need to work and after being told again that no one else had complained, I asked if I would have to stay in the lobby to work, he said if that suits you yes, I explained that I was very tired and that I would like to work in my room. After a long and frustrating amount of time I asked again if he could put me in a room with working WiFi. Finally he did move me to 104. What could have been taken care of with a smile and no problem, ended up with me very upset. I really think this young man should be required to attend some additional training.

The decline of hotel quality as a sign of American decline.

It would seem that we have a crisis today, whereby products and amenities in America are of lesser quality than I remember them 20 years ago. This certainly extends to hotel stays. I believe I have to reach all the way back to about 2011 to find a time when I had a comfortable stay in a hotel room. Hotels, in general, appear to be very cookie cutter these days and appear to place a premium on profitability. This hotel is no exception. To be honest, this hotel is no better and no worse than the 3 other hotels I have stayed in in the Allentown area. The presence of all night romping at the trucking operation next door subtracted from what little comfort I found in my hotel bed. It is not my intent to demonize this hotel in particular, nor do I find pleasure in denigrating anyone. In fact, I rarely leave reviews of any type. However, I think I am nearing a breaking point with the overall atmosphere of the quality of goods and services in America today. I am not old, however, I do remember a time when I could sleep at hotels and when people in general would respect the space and privacy of others. That time is gone and we now live in a time and place of endless noise and disinterested service. I don't expect anything positive to come from this review, but I felt the urge to register my lament at the contemporary American experience.

Soccer tournament stay

We have stayed here the last 2 years for our soccer tournament. We kept coming back because of location and how great the staff was and nice area to hang out. Friday night of our stay the person working the desk was so rude and not welcoming. There were a couple groups hanging out in the lobby and she did not know how to talk to people. She claimed the adults sitting at a table of 6 were too loud. Breakfast the next day was 10x louder. She cussed at our kid for knocking over a sign when he walked in the door and accused them of setting off fireworks when they had walked out to get their DoorDash order. She never greeted anyone who came in the door and just needs to know how to talk to people. We will look elsewhere next year for our 12 team rooms.

Horrible Management

Unprofessional management, staff members unknowledgeable about hotel, not welcoming, will not provide guest services as required. I asked about the spa and was given directions but not made aware it was closed. I asked about happy hour hours and was told there wasn't one, only breakfast. When I arrived from the hospital around 4:30pm there in fact was a breakfast. I was told check out was 9am which I had never been experienced with the IHG brand. I got overcharged and denied refund after 2 minutes of booking my reservation I submitted a date change and was told I would be charged the initial 4 nights and only got to stay 3 nights. Staff never asked me if I was an IHG member and on day 2 of my stay I offered to provide my membership number and was told by management that it's to late to enter my membership number and it has to be made known upon arrival, never thanked for being a mener. Upon arrival I was never asked if I was an IHG member. I received an email from the manager not thanking me for my stay but harassing me and accusing me of trying to take her staff member because I had complemented their customer care. I do have proof of this email if requested.This hotel management is not a good representation of the IHG brand. As a loyal, returning member of the IHG, I recommend if you truly enjoy the IHG properties and the fabulous service they provide... Do NOT stay at this location. The hotel service is not your usual brand hospitality. Breakfast service and selection was fantastic, attendant made my mom feel very welcoming, which was much needed before her UW medical visits.

We wanted to watch The Master on Channel CBS.
The tv was lossing service and we had to watch the Master in the lobby. No Managrr on Duty.
