Great Service

Reception was friendly, helpful and the front desk staff even remembered me the day after I checked in. The restaurant staff was extremely helpful when I tried to buy a coffee for takeaway. Highly recommended.

Great Option for Wheelchair Accessible Travel

Very attentive staff, beautiful pools (there are several), spa and great handicapped access for those who use wheelchairs, and comfortable rooms. The Crowne Plaza Dead Sea is a great choice for someone traveling with a wheelchair, the hotel's handicapped accessible rooms have large, well equipped roll in showers and there are ramps throughout the property. Beach access is unfortunately not ideal, because there remain a series of steps to descend to get to the actual sand, (do-able if you have help). Nevertheless, there are excellent views of the Dead Sea and the West Bank from throughout the property, including on a flat and very accessible promenade. Because of the topography of the area most Jordanian hotels along the Dead Sea sit on cliffs, however this resort has an elevator that will take you down most of the way to the waterside - doesn't go all the way down to the sand, but does get you close to shoreline. All restaurants have ramped entrances, as does the main pool and separate kiddie pool. There remain a few areas where wheelchair access can still be improved relatively easily by eliminating unnecessary steps, but overall wheelchair access is quite good. The front of the hotel has a ramped entrance. One minor complaint is that the TV's in the guest rooms are quite old, and tv channel and movie selection is quite limited. Otherwise, a great property and great staff, that I hope to visit again soon.
