The only IHG hotel in Deira, Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira is just 300m from Reef shopping mall. Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) are less than 8km away. Dubai metro stations are within a 7-minute walk.
Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira offers an ideal set of facilities for tourists and business travelers. Unwind in our cosy 32 sq. m. rooms with spacious bathrooms, walk-in showers and large bathtubs. Book a Club Room or Suite for an elevated experience and enjoy the Club Lounge benefits like all-day snacks, refreshments and evening Happy Hours. All windows are double-glazed for a noise-free stay.

An awkward stay

I'll be positive and start with good points. The refurbished rooms are fine, clean and comfortable: the blackout curtains are wonderfully efficient. Staff are as lovely as ever.
General downsides include the slowly deteriorating neighbourhood, and the fabric and design of the building. That's mainly down to the fad for atrium hotels quarter of a century ago, and (almost) fashionable nature of Deira and airport hotels in general at that time. The place looks dated and shabby from the street, and a two-story ascent by escalator from entry level to reception isn't the best start to a stay. The near airport location is neat for aircrew who stay here, and for airline guests during IRROPS: also for plane spotters using the hotel pool. But it's a ho-hum advantage for the rest of us.
On to the specific downside, and the reason i can't recommend the property. The hotel has always treated Priority Club "status" members well. I received the usual upgrade to a Club room by email, and my online reservation reflected the upgrade. So i went up the two-story escalator in a happy mood. Sadly the good mood ended shortly after when i was asked to pay for club-room facilities. Club room on the club floor without license to enter the club: what sort of nonsense is that?
First time ever: seems this policy has been in force for two three works. Sadly it destroys whatever value the hotel held for me.

Very comfortable bed and really prompt service

Great experience staying in very spacious rooms with very prompt room service. Would recommend staying here for visits to the golden temple and Attari border. The bed was just right, neither too soft nor too hard! Relaxed sleep after a tiring long day of travel from Delhi by road!

Excellent Hotel

Overall great experience great hospitality, holiday inn never let's you down. Great location, smooth checkin, big size room, quality of bathroom amenities were excellent, nice comfortable bed. Very supportive staff. Breakfast had lots of variety and service was world class. Will came back to this hotel again whenever will go the Amritsar again.
Only 1 suggestion to management, when you are providing accommodation to drivers please improve the quality of their dormitory /washroom and also provide blankets to drivers.

You can't miss the Holiday Inn Johannesburg-Rosebank's modern, gray-striped façade, which provides direct, secure access to The Zone shopping centre. Relax on our sunny pool deck when you arrive from O.R. Tambo International Airport, 25 km away. It's easy to get to meetings in the surrounding business suburb from this hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg, and downtown is a 15‐minute taxi ride and the Rosebank Gautrain Station is right on our doorstep.
Holiday Inn Johannesburg‐Rosebank is one of the Johannesburg business hotels close to the city's corporate area, just a short walk from Total's headquarters and Times Media's media publications.
Sasol oil giant are both under two km away. We now offer a Free Corporate Shuttle within a five km radius of the hotel. The upmarket suburb of Sandton is only four km from us, while Johannesburg CBD is ten km away.
World Cup fever filled Johannesburg at the Soccer City Stadium, 15 km away. Handcrafted ceramics and African masks are some of the curios for sale at the African Craft Market in The Mall of Rosebank, next door to our hotel. Visit rare white lions at the Johannesburg Zoo, four km away.
Dine on continental dishes like salmon with mango salsa, cooked to order at our plush Velvet restaurant. Club sandwiches are served on the terrace by the outdoor pool, and you can sample South African wines in our stylish Velvet Lounge.

Hotel banks on its great location

I stayed at this property due to location across from Gautrain station and attached to Rosebank shopping. The hotel evidently invested greatly in its construction. Unfortunately, it seems that they did not make the same investment in guest satisfaction. Had to change rooms (in pairs, as I was traveling with my family and had connecting rooms) because of failure to assign rooms together as promised prior to arrival. Rooms exhibited poor maintenance in the little things, though the major things did work. Even with windows latched closed, we could still see daylight through the gaps where the wind whistled noisily all evening most nights. Samson, who helped us with our luggage, is perhaps the hotel's greatest plus - He greeted us like he meant it every time he saw us. The desk staff seemed comparatively aloof, and housekeeping seemed annoyed when asked to come back at 10 instead of 9am to clean. Then we received a size-too-small bedcover and changed climate settings as part of the room cleaning. Management seems focused on rev-par instead of customer satisfaction. All-in-all, hotel has its perks: noise from corridor was minimal (compared to the wind through the window), the internet is above average (though the voucher system per device is a bit inconvenient), and the location is very convenient. For a night or two, you probably won't notice the other issues.

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff

This was my first time staying at a Crowne Plaza. I was very impressed by the reception and dining areas and guest rooms. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. The selection of food catered for all tastes and was very good. I would certainly stay here again
