Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, die Infrastruktur modern und alles hat funktioniert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich, speziell das Frühstücksbüffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl an lokalen und "westlichen" Produkten.

Great Service

The staff was very caring and well trained. My Check in and check out was without any hassle. All proceedings were smooth and efficient. I had asked for a 7am wake up call, they woke me up twice which was a life saver as I had a meeting.
The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are cozy and well lit. The overall infrastructure of the hotel pretty great. It caters to business as well as leisure activities. The pool area specially is very beautiful. The breakfast is a feast in itself which I always enjoy. I would definitely visit again.

Fake upgrade

Hotel has a bad reputation by frequent travellers, but I wanted to experience first hand.
Staff is friendly, breakfast is excellent and the rooms are just ok.
But don't visit this hotel if you have high expectations about the Ambassador program. On the date of arrival I saw my booking was "Modified" and the room was changed to a club room. My first thoughts was that it's a nice upgrade, because normally club lounge access is excluded in te T&C's.
At check in on the hotel I was told that I've been upgraded to a club room. The front desk agent told seconds later that club lounge access was excluded. At first, I thought the agent was just joking, because in my opinion it's ridiculous. But, to my surprise, the agent confirmed.
So in fact: no upgrade, because the room is EXACTLY the same room as the one I've booked.
The funny thing is: in the evenning I've received a letter from the front desk manager. In the letter I was invited to visit the club lounge and experience the "Club Life Experience". So, I thought the front desk changed their mind and share my opinion that you can't upgrade someone and then exclude the benefits. But no, it was kind of a joke (or punishing cliënts, I don't know,), but my keycard don't allow me to go to the club room.
At check out, I told the front desk agent I wasn't happy about the upgrade. The manager came. He even argued the room was an upgrade, because it has better coffee facilitiies. What a joke!
So in my opinion, the hotel management is playing around with the terms and conditions. I wouldn't come again to this property.

As per terms and condition for the IHG Rewards Club benefits, a Spire Elite members is entitled to a room upgrade but this does not include access to the Club InterContinental Lounge. During your recent visit the team has offered you an upgrade to a higher floor Club InterContinental room.

Great Hotel

Loved the Beach and Pool area with lots of space and seating so you feel nice and relaxed, the food was excellent, the Belgium bar was great with a great seating area outside with music at night. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. Outside the hotel the taxis are very cheap so it's easy to get around and visit all the attractions.

Strategically located at Jalan Lembong, which is connected to Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Braga and Jalan Merdeka, Crowne Plaza® Bandung represents the city as a business and tourist destination. The location is also within close proximity to the city’s business, government, historical, entertainment and shopping centres.
The Crowne Plaza Bandung is a short five-minute walk from the historical site and Bandung City Landmark. Start exploring the surrounding by walking along Jalan Asia Afrika, starting from Jalan Tamblong and going through Jalan Braga.
Stop by to taste, or even better bring home, Bandung’s all-time traditional culinary favourites, such as Batagor Kingsley, Pisang Bolen Kartika Sari, Sambal Hejo Natuna, and Sweet Cantina Ice Cream, which sells ice cream and cookies that are quite popular among young people. If you need a play space for your children, you can walk 500 metres to the city park. Taman Vanda and Taman Balai Kota Bandung are among the many parks in town that are kid-friendly.
After spending time enjoying the atmosphere of Bandung, head back to the hotel, where you will be assisted by Jaka, the Digital Concierge, that will provide for your various needs during your stay at Crowne Plaza Bandung. You can also access information about the hotel, and order food, beverages and other room services.

Excellent Stay but not sure why I didn't get any points for my stay

We had a wonderful stay. The staff in the club floor lounge especially Sabriyanto and his team, the 3 of them in that shift were excellent. Service was excellent. I wanted to go to a HSBC bank nearby and they helped me to find one and provided instructions on how to get there. I told them that I had problems logging into my IHG Rewards account and could not book directly on their website because of that. They checked and realised that I had duplicate accounts. They worked with the IT team and managed to help me to resolve it. However, I don't understand why I didn't get any points for my stay.
