The staff was always very distracted either watching videos on their phone or visiting with personal guests in the bar area. Then, they ran the wrong card to pay for my room at checkout, which caused 2 bank fees to be incurred. When I called to speak to someone, they said the manager had left for the day (at 4pm) and they could not help me. I would have to call back when the manager returned on Monday. Just bad customer service and not attentive at a higher end IHG property.

No fault to the manager and staff but their key carding was unavailable so no room keys. The staff had to let us into our room every time we left the property. I booked the hotel for the pool and was not told nor the website mention the pool was unavailable. We were a little disappointed. It is one of the few hotels in the area that i would recommend despite this isolated issue. Except foe the pool.

This has been our choice hotel to stay at when we have medical visits at Mayo Clinic. We have stayed here since they first built. Our recent visit the nighttime staff was not friendly upon arrival. Staff need more training on how to treat customers. Beds were very comfortable and room amenities were great.

Hotel is in a great location next to trails. The staff was ok, not very friendly. The hotel is very dated and looks very worn out. Door handles did not work well, very thin blankets on the bed so we had to crank up the heat. There are other choices in the area to stay at.

We have stayed at this hotel 2 prior times while driving to and or from Florida home.
This time I used my IHG points to decrease cost- what a waste.
Room was clean but carpet ripped, toilet seat loose and poorly caulked, and 2 of 3 ice machines along with water fountain out of order.

Was moved into a room with king sofa sleeper and bed rather than two queen standards. The sofa sleeper was uncomfortable and has led to having a sore back for nearly a week.
Needed two keys for my room and the hotel only had one key available.
Upon getting to the room noticed there were not pillows or sheets for the sofa sleeper. Front desk told me they could not get those to my room, as they had too much going on in the lobby. They eventually did after understanding I had small children in the room I could not leave.

You can almost feel the sea breeze from your hotel room at Saint Augustine Inn. Located right off Route A1A just across from the sparkling waters of Salt Run, we are your launch pad for exploring North America's oldest city. Prepare to be steeped in history as minutes-long drives in either direction will take you to Colonial era architecture, or towards wilderness left intact for millennia.
Waking up after a restful night in your spacious guest room, start the day right with a cup of coffee from our free 24 hour coffee bar and our free breakfast. If you’re here for work, you can give your suit a quick press with the iron and ironing board in your room while you catch up on the day’s news on your flat-screen TV. We have fax and copy machines you can use as well. If a vacation is your goal, head down to the front desk for some friendly advice on where to ramble and roam.
There’s so much to see and do in St. Augustine that you’ll probably return to your cozy room ready to relax. If you’ve got one of the suites that comes with a hot tub, you can pop a quick meal in the microwave and stay in for the night. Or soak in the outdoor pool and watch the stars come out.

Overall a great place and value!
However, did not realise you are located a distance from the old Historic district, and no shuttle.
After a day out and about, walking and exploring, I returned to my room around 4pm, for cleaning up and a brief rest, before going out for dinner.
However, that never happened, as in the adjoining room (look door), I heard the sounds of a baby crying, cat howling, dog whimpering and finally loud barking, painful noises and scratching!
Some uncaring, horrible pet owner left there little dog unattened in their room for hours. I notified the front desk, but thet could not do anything about it!
Please, a Pet friendly hotel is great, but make a certain floor available for them and make pet owners more know to "Do Not Leave Pets In Room Unattended" This should be posted in a couple of very visible locations, like the entrance, front desk, elevators and getting off the floor and in the rooms that is pet friendly designated!
This totally ruin the end of a perfect day in beautiful St Augustine
PS: Didnt not have a TV signal most of my stay.
Really need to leave a small card with info on how to quickly access TV servive, its a little complication.
